Job Location: Owosso, MI

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administrate and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

• • month and end-year process
  • accounts payable/receivable
  • cash receipts
  • general ledger
  • payroll and utilities
  • cash forecasting
  • revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  • capital assets reconciliations
  • check runs
  • fixed asset activity
  • debt activity

• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Provide recommendations
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
• Other duties may be assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

All Accounting Staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or another related field, required.

·         5 years or more of related experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• 1st shift - 8A to 5P
• Mon - Fri 

Work Location: One location - Owosso, Michigan
