Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:
- Performs routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks for the accounting department, including accounts payable, billing, and receivables
- Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy, alerts supervisory staff of discrepancies
- Assist with year-end audit preparation - pulling invoices, making copies, and scanning invoices for auditor
- May assist with mail distribution, answering phones, and other clerical duties
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Computer proficiency
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- QuickBooks Desktop proficiency
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required. Associate or bachelor is preferred.
- Previous accounting experience is required.
- QuickBooks Desktop experience is required.
