Responsibilities for Accounting Assistant

• Calculate liabilities and prepare monthly reconciliation reports of sales tax liabilities
• Prepare and file various sales tax returns
• Verify and prepare Sales Tax Credits as required
• Sort/distribute incoming departmental mail and take outgoing departmental mail to mailroom
• Code and enter supplier credits for payables
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications Accounting Assistant

• Desired experience includes 1-2 years’ experience in the Accounting field
• Good communication skills including verbal, written, interpersonal, and listening
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of or experience with PC, Microsoft Office software, various printers, facsimile, copier, calculator, multi-line phone
• Minimum of an Associates Degree in Accounting

The Accounting Assistant role is fully onsite in Kent, OH with a salary range of $37,440 - $45,760 depending on experience
