The Accounting Assistant/Warehouse Manager assists in accounting and administrative functions associated at the Division level. This individual will be responsible for keeping detailed accounts and records, maintaining internal accounting controls, monitoring accounts, and solving problems by making recommendations about accounting processes as needed.
The Accounting Assistant/Warehouse Manager will also maintain and organize the flow and inventory of materials in and out of the Knoxville Shop. This includes loading and unloading delivery trucks along with maintaining a systematic flow of materials to support continuous production.
The Accounting Assistant/Warehouse Manager reports to the Office Administrator and works primarily out of the Knoxville location.
What You'll Do
- Setting up, reviewing, and maintaining contracts
- Creating work orders, IMO’s, MSO’s, and job numbers
- Invoicing and preparing billing information for customers
- Reviewing and completing job close out review and other monthly accounting reports
- Creating and reviewing job costing information
- Distributing incoming mail/paperwork to appropriate personnel
- Assisting with collection of timecards and Timekeeper approvals
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Transport and locate equipment and materials to required inventory areas
- Stage or kit materials for production teams to increase production
- Notify Project Managers of materials when received
- Count, manage, and prep inventory
- Yearly/weekly/monthly inventory check

What You'll Bring
- Valid Driver’s License required
- High school diploma required – Associate degree in Accounting or related discipline preferred
- 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience OR combination of experience and training
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
- Practical knowledge of office procedures and customer relations
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Skill in dealing with the public under stressful circumstances in a manner which will facilitate constructive problem solving
- Working knowledge of personal computers and software packages including specific knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines work under stressful situations
- Must be dependable, trustworthy, and possess a positive and productive attitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be a self-starter
- Demonstrate a keen awareness of safety and safe practices and making safety a top priority
- Candidate must be certified or willing to be certified in the operation of forklifts
- Knowledge of materials planning, scheduling, receiving, shipping, and tracking systems
- Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of processes and procedures related to receiving, shipping and inventory control
- Team-oriented and able to work effectively and efficiently with others
- Ability to communicate effectivesly (verbal and written) and maintain a high level of customer service and to represent Pillar Innovations in a professional, competent and courteous manner
- Must be dependable; trustworthy; and possess a positive and productive attitude
Working Conditions
