Summary

Nova Medical Centers is looking for an Accounting Clerk to fill an immediate need on the Accounting Team. This individual will be responsible for executing general accounting processes as well as perform other operational tasks in a high-volume, fast paced environment.  This is not a remote role and will office at our corporate offcies near the Galleria- Westheimer and Fountain View Drive, Houston, TX 77057.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine accounting activities such as reconciling transactions, preparing reports, and maintaining digital records.
• Assist in the accounts payable process of processing invoices and remitting payments where applicable.
• Audit and maintain vendor records in preparation for 1099 transactions.
• Process patient refunds and send out as directed.
• Document and maintain return check payment process.
• Assist with monthly cash transaction posting.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred
• 1 to 2 years of AP experience preferred
• Proficiency with Intacct software preferred, experience with Concur, AP Smart, and Surgicare a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & Word)
• Has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must work on-site at Nova’s corporate office located near Galleria
