Accounting Clerk - ADECCO

Adecco is hiring for an Accounting Clerk in Rochester, NY. This is a Temp-to-Hire position. Please review the following information and APPLY today!

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS USED:

• Office equipment- Computer, calculator, telephone, fax machine

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Accounts Payable:

• Prepare and post accounting documents (manually or by computer) such as fees, receipts, invoices, requisitions, and related operating reports.

• Post receipts, invoices, and disbursement information to appropriate ledgers and journals.

• Prepare and mail bills and prepare lists of outstanding bills payable.

• Take all AP calls from vendors, and handle problem calls.

• Assist with check reconciliation by entering monthly information into Excel.

• Ability to keep accurate accounting records for receipts and disbursements.

• Perform a variety of complex clerical and entry-level bookkeeping and accounting tasks.

• Apply accepted procedure to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records.

• Perform any other position related duties as required by the Controller.

Accounts Receivable:

• Prepare and post accounting documents (manually or by computer) such as invoices, packing slips, EDI, and related operating reports.

• Post invoices to appropriate ledgers and journals.

• Prepare and mail invoices and review outstanding accounts receivable.

• Make all AR collection calls.

• Maintain all AR files, and make copies of invoices for sales representative, and prepare commission reports.

• Post receipts to appropriate ledgers.

• Pull and mark paid invoices to be filed in the paid AR files.

• Occasional typing.

• Perform any other job related duties as required by Controller.

• Ensure accurate records for packing slips and invoices.

• Perform a variety of clerical duties at entry-level bookkeeping and accounting tasks.

• Apply accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

• Associates degree necessary, bachelor’s degree preferred

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Bookkeeping experience.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to handle pressure.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
