The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Controller and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial information for the company. Core Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations of the corporate accounting department to ensure all reporting is accurate and timely
- Prepare monthly financial statements, performance reporting, and analysis
- Treasury management and month-end close, including approval of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support ADP implementation while overseeing weekly payroll processes
- Manage tax compliance and reporting
- Support external audits
- Manage a team of direct reports responsible for cash management, financial statement preparation, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll
- Assist Controller on business and project forecasts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of construction industry experience
- Strong Excel user with an ability to use pivot tables and vlookup
- Prior supervisory experience in managing a team and developing employees is strongly preferred
- Experience with ADP and process improvements/implementations is a plus
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently with a high volume of output
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational habits
- Self-driven to complete continuous improvement initiatives and support ongoing learning
