Late state Pre-IPO green tech manufacturing company is looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager. Reports to the CAO/Corporate Controller managing month end close and accounting reporting and operations.

responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Drive the monthly and quarterly close process, including maintenance of close calendars and checklists, review of journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis of results for the US and international subsidiaries.
• Manage, coach and mentor a small team that is responsible for cash, prepaid expenses, other assets, fixed assets, accruals, and expense classification.
• Perform accounting research, ad-hoc requests, and provide technical guidance, while facilitating the accounting team's commitment to timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Own the monthly consolidation and inter-company reconciliations, ensure the compliance of the international Services Agreements, and oversee the relationships.
• Liaise with FP&A and business partners to generate, record, reconcile, and maintain accrual balances and assist with monthly budget versus actual analyses.
• Application of ASC 842, Leases
• Equity-based compensation accounting
• Support internal/external audits of the company's financial statements, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor questions and requests.
• Review, update, and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with parent company and business unit policies.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate highly preferred
• 8-10 years of accounting experience, with two years managing
• Public accounting experience with a national firm highly preferred
• In depth GAAP knowledge with knowledge of IFRS a plus
• Experience with NetSuite a plus
