About the Job:
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for leading General Accounting and Reporting team in maintaining accurate accounting records and financial/management reporting.
Facilitate month-end close and review of financial results
Group and local reporting for Alfa Laval Inc, and other subsidiaries and multi-brand companies
Review, investigate and correct errors or inconsistencies in financial entries or reports
Compile and analyze balance sheet monthly, research balance sheet items and income/expense fluctuations
Manage the investigative process and ensure any review comments are resolved in a timely manner
Understand bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Initiate and document internal control and quarterly review procedures over our financial accounts to ensure accuracy
Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested
Prioritize projects and drive new finance transformation requirements to completion
Document and update standard operating procedures for all processes within the team
Play a key role in implementing new ideas for department improvements and efficiency
Set team strategy, develop individuals and monitor progress towards goals
Establish and maintain working relationships to successfully lead, coach, mentor and motivate
Assist with auditor requests; and completion of ad-hoc projects from Controller and Finance Director as needed.
What you know:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
CPA preferred (or equivalent)
Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting / financial reporting experience
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in accounting managerial role
Strong Knowledge of the following:
Knowledge of standard accounting principles, best practices, and procedures
Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools
Attention to detail
Coaching and mentoring skills
Strong time-management, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills
Highest level of integrity and trust
Dedication to excellent customer service
Ability to work independently and effectively in order to meet deadlines and goals

At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall salary range for this role is typically $110,000 to $130,000 base.
