About the Job
Accounting Manager is a key member of the Executive Management team and will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the Company in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP"). The Accounting Manager will also oversee the HR and IT functions.
Qualifications:
Previous work experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with finance, accounting, reporting, budgeting, and cost control experience
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting or equivalent, with strong accounting background and technical understanding of GAAP. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is a plus
High level of accounting software/ERP skills, ability to manage outsourced IT function
Experience developing and managing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow forecasts
Result-oriented with strong management, problem-solving skills
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and exercise good judgment
A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player
High level of integrity and dependability: Acts in a professional manner that always represents the Company to the highest ethical standard
A strong sense of urgency as appropriate
Interest in Lean principles and business process automation
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Perform all aspects of the accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting of the Company, and function as a member of the operating team responsible for planning and implementing strategic growth of the company
Produce monthly financial reporting packages, operational dashboards, and financial analysis, and generally strengthen accounting and reporting systems to provide timely, accurate information to Executive Management product
Create and maintain the Company's documentation of its policies and procedures related to internal and external financial reporting
Lead the relationship between the Company and external audit and tax firm, and direct all activities associated with the annual reviewed financials and income tax return
Lead the relationship between the Company and external ESOP valuation firm and direct all activities associated with the annual valuation
Manage tax function and oversee tax compliance
Coordinate all non-tax related government statutory and other special reports
Manage the treasury functions and policies of the Company
Manage banking / lending reporting requirements
Manage staff and supervise daily activities of personnel in area of responsibility (invoicing, accounts receivable, posting cash, expense reporting, accounts payable, etc.)
Analyze business processes to identify areas of improvement and recommend automation (or other) solutions
