Who You Are:

We are on the hunt for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join this dynamic finance team. As an Accounting Specialist, you'll be instrumental in day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate transaction processing, and reporting.

What You'll Do:

As an Accounting Specialist, you will:

• Manage the Accounts Payable email inbox.
• Accounts Payable Processing: vendor invoice matching and entry, weekly ACH batches, scheduling, and expense tracking.
• New vendor set-up and management.
• Back-up for Accounts Receivable as needed: collection reminders, payment applications, and customer account reconciliations.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Maintain accurate retention and filing of records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes.

What You Bring:

Competencies & Skills of the Accounting Specialist:

• Customer service minded.
• Demonstrated ability to support timely and accurate processing and payment of vendor invoices.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of GAAP and financial accounting standards.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.

Required Education and Experience:

• 2+ years of payables and receivables experience.
• NetSuite and QuickBooks experience is preferred.
• Associate Degree in Accounting is a plus but not required.
