Accounting Supervisor - Ecolab Inc

The Accounting Supervisor is a member of the Global Accounting & Control Team reporting to the Global Accounting Director based in St. Paul, MN. This is a key role responsible for leading and coordinating the month-end close process and serving as a finance partner to divisions and functions across the company. This position has one direct report, an accountant to support day-to-day accounting and month-end close procedures. What You Will Do: Support the Ecolab monthly general ledger close process in SAP Review and analyze monthly financial results for the Ecolab entities Prepare and review various journal entries prepared by the NA Accounting team during the month Work closely with the Global Business Services (GBS) team in Buenos Aires during month-end close, and throughout the month on various accounting procedures Monitor clearing accounts during close to ensure appropriate balances Review monthly account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts Assist in the quarterly balance sheet fluctuation review of the Ecolab entities Provide accounting and policy guidance to divisions and functions across the company Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits Assure policies are being followed in accordance with SOX, US GAAP and Corporate Policies Lead special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5 years of accounting and/or finance experience No immigration sponsorship available for this position Preferred Qualifications: CPA, CMA or MBA Experience with SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Blackline and Microsoft Office Applications Strong accounting background, attention to detail, and well-developed organizational skills Results oriented, proactive, and possesses a high level of integrity Ability to work independently and resolve complex issues in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates ability to work well across divisions and functions (HR, Payroll, Audit, Tax, Treasury) #LI-Hybrid Benefits Ecolab strives to provide comprehensive and market-competitive benefits to meet the needs of our associates and their families.Click here to see our benefits.
