About the Job
The Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk performs accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Compensation range is $13-$14/hr depending on experience.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Review invoices, resolve invoice discrepancies, and enter into system
- Set invoices up for payment
- Process check requests
- Sort and match invoices and check requests
- Prepare and process accounts payable checks, wire transfers and ACH payments
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Reconcile statements
- Produce monthly reports
- Assist forwarders or Allied with questions regarding payables
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of company software
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Interpersonal communication
- Organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of general accounting practices
- Knowledge bookkeeping principles
