As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will support the financial management and operations of LSCU & Affiliates by processing accounts payable, expense reports, and maintaining accounting records and vendor reports. You will perform moderate to complex accounting functions following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, under moderate supervision.
The responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk include:
- Processing accounts payable functions for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of purchase orders, bills, payments, ACH's, voids, and stop payments.
- Maintaining accounts payable subledgers and vendor records.
- Monitoring accounts payable aging reports.
- Reconciling payments.
- Preparing annual 1099's.
- Completing monthly reconciliation of expense reports and credit cards.
- Maintaining accounting records and spreadsheets.
- Preparing records for storage as needed.
- Providing budget and audit assistance.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in accounting, business, or finance; relevant work experience can substitute year for year of the education.
- Three years of accounting and/or advanced bookkeeping experience required.
- Proficiency in Excel and Adobe; advanced computer skills necessary.
- Must excel in a paperless work environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, customer service-oriented environment is essential.
Work Schedule:
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you can expect to work onsite 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with an option for occasional overtime.
