Location: Washington, DC Capitol Hill on-site
Duration: Short term temp November 15, 2024 – March 31, 2025 (4.5 months)
Compensation: 21.35/hr. + 4.93/hr. HW = 26.28/hr.
Objective: Our clients, Office of Finance – Office of Accounting is seeking a temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to provide specialized support for vendor and customer table maintenance in PeopleSoft. This role is essential for ensuring accurate vendor information and timely payment processing.

- Vendor Documentation: Follow up with vendors to secure certification documentation, including maintaining W-9 forms and other banking information.
- IRS Compliance: Assist in the preparation of IRS Form 1099 for eligible vendors.
- Database Management: Update vendor and customer profiles in PeopleSoft, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Process Improvement: Provide expertise and recommend enhancements for maintaining the Vendor and Accounts Payable modules in PeopleSoft.
- Collaboration: Work closely with accounting staff to ensure timely payment of vendor invoices.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Assist in maintaining current standard operating procedures for vendor management.
- Database Review: Conduct periodic reviews to ensure records are complete, eliminate duplicates, and ensure accurate data entry.
- Customer Support: Manage a high volume of vendor inquiries via phone and email, providing prompt and professional responses.
- High School Diploma (required).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with PeopleSoft, specifically in Vendor and Accounts Payable Modules.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in a high-volume customer service environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of computer systems.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, confidential team environment while recognizing critical responsibilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective vendor interaction.
