Accounts Payable Intern - Genesee and Wyoming Railroad

SUMMARY:
The intern will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department. The internship is paid at $15 hourly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•The intern will gain a basic understanding of the railroad industry, including industry structure and some competitive dynamics.
•The intern will also gain an understanding of G&W’s Accounts Payable processes, procedures, and systems.
•Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
•Effective oral and written communication skills.
•Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
•Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
•Strong attention to detail.
•Ability to interact effectively with all levels and continue to maintain a high level of objectivity and independence.
•Self-starter.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:
•High school diploma or GED
