About the Job
Responsibilities:
* The processing of numerous expense invoices on a daily basis, to include receiving and reviewing them, coding, obtaining approval, entering, and ensuring proper payment
* Responsible for the daily handling of invoices from specific freight vendors (split responsibility with others on the AP Team)
* Responsible for processing various vendor invoices against purchase orders in our system and working with multiple employees and teams to research and correct any discrepancies between the invoice and the purchase order
* During your assigned weeks you will be responsible for preparing the physical and electronic check run reports for the Tuesday and Friday check run, printing the checks, providing the checks and necessary backup to the Controller and ensuring checks are mailed timely
* Responsible for working with the other accounts payable specialists in reviewing and researching items on the Unbilled Stock Receipts Report and AP Aging and ensuring that items assigned to you are handled timely and appropriately
* Responsible for reviewing the monthly account statements for your assigned vendors and ensuring timely follow-up on any discrepancies or outstanding invoices
* Assist in regular accounts payable department duties such as opening and distributing the mail and assisting in managing the accounts payable email
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable role (40+ invoices per day)
* Experience processing invoices against purchase orders
* Hybrid work schedule, only 2 days a week onsite
* Starting salary up to $51K to start plus monthly profit sharing 5$K - $7K annually.
