Accounts Payable Specialist
- Full Time/Non-Exempt: $24.58-27.31/hour (Annualized $51,131-56,812). Position eligible for additional incentives including Bonus, 401(k) match, health and welfare benefits, amazing culture, growth opportunity and more!!
- Hours: Hybrid Schedule, 3-days onsite/2-days remote; Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, Pacific Time

National Funding is continuing to grow and has a great opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist. National Funding has been established for over 25 years and we are one of the country's largest private providers of small business loans. The Accounts Payable Specialist position is responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Verify and process vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring correct allocation to appropriate general ledger accounts and entities.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues.
- Prepare and process weekly, monthly, and ad hoc payment runs, ensuring timely payment to vendors.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and banking details.
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and accruals.
- Process EFT and bank wire payments
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and audit support
An Ideal Candidate Looks Like This:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Working in a temperature-controlled office environment
- Sitting at a desk for long periods of time while viewing multiple computer screen monitors
