Turner's Outdoorsman is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join the team. The Turner’s Outdoorsman Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for managing the accounts payable team and accounts payable processes. Supervises the accurate completion of day-to-day functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Data Entry-matching and coding.
- Manage expense vendor payments and G/L coding
- Prepares and prints daily/weekly check runs ensuring accuracy
- Manual checks as needed
- Reviews all AP Teams voucher packages for accuracy ensuring all discounts are taken before checks signatures.
- Ability to handle high volumes of work
- Responsible for the monthly close process of Accounts Payable, including monthly accruals of liabilities (TOI/OEG), journal entries, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions in accordance with internal controls
- Accounts Receivable – Creates Co-Op Sales invoices, maintains, reconciles, identifies variances, and implements corrective actions.
- Telephone and written communication with staff, upper management, and vendors regarding AP-related issues and solving issues in a timely manner.
- Manages and reviews the set-up of new or current suppliers including payment terms, banking information, and service agreements.
- Expands our Wells Fargo Mastercard program (Pcard) through creative card usage (e.g., recurring monthly invoices, high volume, and low dollar amount invoices). Manages corporate card accounts - adds new users, cancels cards, fraud requests, and reconciliation of all corporate accounts.
- Processes property tax state statements for the Corporate Office and multiple stores
- Process and ensure compliance with 1096/1098/1099 filings
- Fixed Assets – Maintains, adds/retires, and reconciles Fixed Assets
- Performs various reconciliations of assigned GL accounts, identifies variances, and implements corrective action (TOI/OEG)
- Assist with property managers’ inquiries by providing information and answering questions.
- Supports annual audits by providing information and answering audit questions.
- Recommends processes to improve effective and efficient operations within the dept.
- Perform other AP-related duties/ad-hoc projects as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be 18 years or older
- Proficient in Great Plains accounting software
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environment
- Possess strong data entry and calculator skills
- Must have strong computer skills specifically but not limited to MS Excel
- Must have previous accounting experience, finance, or related field of study
- Excellent people and telephone skills
- Flexible, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Progressive experience in full-cycle accounting/accounts payable processes
- Experience in the retail industry preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instructions to new software programs
- Must be able to stand, sit for long periods of time, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift

- Hours-Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
- OT may be approved as needed
