Accounts Receivable - Billing - Creative Financial Staffing

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AR/Billing Specialist to join the finance team for our manufacturing client. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, verifying billing data, and ensuring accuracy in external billing. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate invoicing for customers, supporting financial operations, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Core Responsibilities:

• Monitor Billing Processes: Ensure all billing is completed in accordance with customer contracts, agreements, and company policies
• Data Entry: Enter and update billing information in the company’s accounting system
• Reconcile Accounts: Ensure accounts receivable balances match invoices and payment records, and assist with month-end reconciliation
• Customer Communication: Collaborate with the customer service team to address billing inquiries and resolve disputes in a timely manner
• Coordinate with Operations: Work closely with the operations team to ensure billing aligns with services provided and any service changes
• Maintain Records: Ensure accurate documentation of billing and invoicing records
• Monitor Aging Reports: Track and manage overdue accounts, send reminders, and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment
• Assist with Audits: Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate billing documentation and reports.
• Reporting: Generate billing and financial reports for management as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of billing / high volume data entry / or accounts receivable experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in accounting (ERP) or billing software
• Excellent communication with individuals at multiple levels within an organization
• Team player mindset

Work Model:

• Hybrid with 3-4 days required in office per week at their headquarters
• 40 hours/week, standard business hours

Compensation:

• Hourly paid position, $24.00 - $29.00/hr
