Responsibilities:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist should expect to:
Under moderate supervision and with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment, the Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable from our clients, resolving client billing problems, and reducing the number of accounts receivable delinquency.
What you’ll be doing:
- Conduct weekly analysis of clients with complex aged AR scenarios
- Communicate and collaborate with Results Strategists to provide an understanding of their client’s scenarios and propose effective resolutions
- Contact clients regarding overdue accounts, determine reasons for non-payment, and negotiate a resolution
- Send credit control ticklers to Billing team members which will streamline credit processes
- Establish and enhance reporting and tracking of all collections activity, working with key personnel and departments to improve analysis processes
- Administrative duties as required, including management of invoice inbox, overseeing unallocated cash, monitoring clients on AR hold, and processing write-offs to bad debt
What you will need for this position:
- 2+ years of experience in a credit and/or collections role
- A strong understanding of billing and collection processes
- Proven ability to negotiate and resolve financial disputes
- Excellent oral communication and organizational skills, with an ability to navigate challenging conversations, address concerns, and find mutually beneficial solutions
- Collaborative and effective in working with different leadership styles and a variety of individuals at all levels within the organization
- Desire to be a self-starter who will see opportunities to add value beyond an assignment and will run projects through to completion
- Critical thinking skills and ability to modify procedures or resources to fit the needs of the task or situation
- Maintain confidentiality and protection of sensitive client information
- Proficiency in MS Excel and client management systems
