PACE LLC is currently seeking an Acquisition Specialist for a full-time position in the DMV area.
Job Description:
The Acquisition Specialist will provide a full range of procurement and contracting services in support of the customer's acquisition activities. This position supports the PACE LLC government contracting client, which is a United States federal agency.
Duties of the Acquisition Specialist may include:
- The Acquisition Specialist will support the PACE LLC government contracting client, which is a United States federal agency.
- Review, analyze, and improve the quality of documents submitted to the contracting office by the program office as part of the Procurement Request (PR) packages, e.g., IGCE, SOW/PWS, technical specifications, sole source documentation, etc.
- Assist several different contracting officers and program offices as the "go-to" expert in creating compliant, complete, and high-quality Procurement Request (PR) packages.
- Provide basic support and assistance in all areas of pre-award contract and acquisition administration and modification, micro purchases, and simplified acquisitions for services and supplies, as appropriate, in support of Agency goals/mission.
- Assist with the preparation of all pre-award documentation as well as the evaluation of contract proposals.
- Prepare and review requirements documents and Performance Work Statements/Statements of Work; Service Acquisition Strategies and Plans; Sole Source Documentation; and Technical Evaluation Plans.
- Ensure that the PWS/SOWs are prepared in a manner which adequately describes the Government's requirements without restricting competition.
- Advise technical personnel to inadequate, ambiguous or vague specifications to avoid Government liability.
- Perform Cost Analysis and Estimates
- Performs a complete review of recommended sole source requirements and conducts necessary market analyses, to test the noncompetitive assumptions of requisitions
- Perform Cost Proposal Reviews to Determine Price Reasonableness and Realism of Contract Proposals
- Perform Contract Administration Duties.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience as a federal employee contract specialist (series 1102)
- Previous experience as a federal contractor performing 1102-type (contract specialist) work
- Previous experience with the Department of Defense
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS)
- DAWIA or FAC-C certification in contracting
- NCMA certifications, e.g., CPCM, CFCM, etc.
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Location: Alexandria, VA (Hybrid- office one day per pay period)
