Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level three Acquisition Specialist position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
As the Acquisition Specialist, your primary focus will be to provide indispensable support to the government in the development, planning, and management of National Space Test and Training Complex (NSTTC) Lines of Effort (LOE). Your core responsibilities will entail meticulous tracking and management of requirements, technical baselines, programmatic risks, and ensuring seamless integration across LOEs to uphold NSTTC program objectives in terms of cost, schedule, and performance.
Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the government by conducting comprehensive market analysis, crafting acquisition strategies, and contributing to the development of requests for proposal documents. Your ability will be instrumental in the technical evaluation of proposals, ensuring alignment with project requirements and objectives.
In essence, you will serve as a key asset in driving the success of NSTTC programs, leveraging your expertise to navigate complex acquisition processes and facilitate the achievement of programmatic goals.
Skills / Experience Required
- Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance eligible/Special Access Program accessible
- 10+ years of proven practical expertise and relevant DoD work experience in contracts and subcontracts, highlighting practical involvement throughout
- Acknowledged as an industry leader, possessing robust analytical skills and a proven record of accomplishment
- Showcase exceptional organizational prowess and adept presentation skills, ensuring efficient communication and comprehension of complex information
- Demonstrate a ability for autonomous work, seamlessly working with team members and senior leadership with minimal supervision
- Exhibit strong critical thinking abilities and problem-solving acumen, proactively addressing challenges and preempting potential issues
- Employ proactive measures to mitigate problems, showcasing a proactive rather than reactive approach to tasks and challenges
- Exemplify outstanding written and verbal communication skills, coupled with proven leadership capabilities that foster effective team collaboration
- Provide comprehensive support in managing contract processes from start to conclusion, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
- Contribute to government contract proposal evaluations, leveraging expertise to facilitate informed decision-making
- Facilitate streamlined interdepartmental communications, orchestrating meetings to swiftly address financial and contractual matters
- Uphold meticulous standards in generating, reviewing, and maintaining accurate financial and contractual documentation, adhering to company policies and regulations
- Exercise sound judgment in interpreting contract terms and providing guidance to the business team to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Ensure timely review and communication of contract modifications and pertinent notices to the business team, fostering transparency and clarity
- Support efforts to obtain requisite approvals prior to contract submission, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational protocols
- Demonstrate awareness of U.S. Space Force organizations, understanding their roles and objectives in alignment with NTSSC customers and stakeholders' needs and mission objectives
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, relevant work experience or training may be considered in lieu of a degree, in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) Crediting Combinations of Education and Experience standard.

- Support management of contract processes on assigned contracts from end-to-end with internal business owners and stakeholders and external partners
- Support government contract proposal evaluations
- Facilitate efficient interdepartmental communications; coordinate and support meetings to promptly resolve outstanding financial and contractual issues, inquiries, and actions
- Generate, review, and maintain accurate financial and contractual documentation in accordance with company policies
- Exercise good judgment in providing contract interpretations, contractual advice and guidance to the business team to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
- Recent experience working in a classified environment with classified programs

Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.

Salary range: $150,000 - $165,000
