Activities Director - Assisted Living & Memory Care 

We are seeking a creative and compassionate Activities Director to join our team. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging and purposeful activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program for both assisted living and memory care residents
• Create monthly activity calendars tailored to residents' interests and abilities
• Organize and lead group activities, outings, and special events
• Conduct one-on-one activities for residents who are unable to participate in group settings
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of programs
• Manage the activities budget and inventory of supplies
• Recruit and supervise volunteers to assist with activities
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and preferences
• Ensure compliance with state regulations regarding activities programs
• Participate in care plan meetings and provide input on residents' social and emotional well-being
• Collaborate with families to understand residents' backgrounds and interests

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in activities/programming for seniors, preferably in an assisted living or memory care setting.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification a plus.
• Knowledge of person-centered care and dementia care best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creativity and ability to adapt activities for various cognitive and physical abilities.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive community van for outings.
