Oakleigh of Macomb Senior Living Community in Macomb is seeking an Activities Director with a focus on memory care. At Oakleigh of Macomb, we are searching for an Activities Director to ensure that our residents' activities and outings are not only engaging and enjoyable but also tailored to meet their cognitive needs. We seek an individual who can develop fresh and inventive programs specifically designed to stimulate our residents both physically and mentally, with a special emphasis on memory care.
Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday. Need to be flexible to work special events that may be outside their normal work hours.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes engaging activities that cater to residents' physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being
- Collaborates with external venues to organize special outings
- Designs and publishes a monthly activities calendar
- Manages inventory of supplies and initiates orders as necessary
- Recruits, trains, and oversees activity aides
- Addresses resident concerns and resolves issues effectively
Requirements:
- Certification in Activities is highly recommended
- Proven experience in overseeing activities within an assisted living facility
- Demonstrated ability in staff recruitment and training
- Availability to work weekends
- Strong proficiency in time management and multitasking
