Compensation: Starts at $19/hour

Responsibilities:

• Conduct activities for residents that encourage continued social functioning and independence in daily activities.
• Ensure activities include:
  • Socialization: Encourage interaction among residents with group discussions, current events, bingo, arts & crafts, period music, and pet care.
  • Daily Living Skills: Maintain independent functioning with building walks, snacks, breakfast out, and lunch out.
  • Leisure Time Activities: Encourage personal interests and involvement with card games, bowling, movie matinees, and gardening.
  • Physical Activities: Develop and maintain strength, coordination, and range of motion with games, dancing, and exercise.
  • Education: Promote continued learning with safety lectures, travel presentations, and bible study.
  • Community-Centered Activities:
    • Worship: Attend places of worship.
    • Service: Involve in activities to improve the community.
    • Community Events: Participate in concerts, tours, and plays.
    • Community Organized Group Activities: Engage in local senior center activities.
  • Free Time: Allow residents to engage in activities of their choice.
• Serve as a backup to the Receptionist.

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Over 2 years of related experience.
• Able to pass a physical exam and criminal record review.
• Current training in Basic First Aid and CPR.
