At YMCA Camp Greenknoll, Activity Facilitators plays an important role of our camper's life. Not only are you responsible for planning and executing planned projects for campers, but you also play an important part in building confidence and self-esteem. We are very proud of the program and the impact we make on youth in our community. Through the Y's Day camp program, kids participate in fun and educational activities that help them. Applicant must have experience working with youth in a large and small group. This position is responsible for helping to maintain a safe, clean summer program; ensuring a high level of program quality and working to establish a positive relationship with all program participants and their families. Activity Facilitators will provide a positive role model to youth & teens within the philosophy of The Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut standards and expectations with emphasis on character counts philosophy and youth development.

- An enthusiastic energy level to work with children
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work outdoor, rain or shine
- Proven ability with work with children
- The ability to work with in a team environment as well as independently
- Must demonstrate the core values of the YMCA which are Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility
- Ability to provide proper supervision for camp group at all times.
- Ability to encourage campers to participate in camp activities.
- To assist with the development of social adjustment of the campers
- Ability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner
- To guide, direct, supervise, and organize a group in activities.
