About the Job
• Physician Assistant candidates must hold a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• NCCPA certified and state licensed (or license eligible) as a Physician Assistant.
• Physician candidates must be certified by an ABMS- or AOA- approved specialty board and state licensed (or license eligible) as an allopathic or osteopathic Physician.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice preferred.
• Previous clinical precepting or teaching experience for an accredited physician assistant program or medical school is strongly preferred. However, clinicians new to academia are encouraged to apply and will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment with active and supportive mentoring and faculty development training
• Supervise the Clinical Support Coordinator, however, both will report to the Program Director.
• Work closely with and under the supervision of the Pfeiffer University MS-PAS Program Director.
• Work from Albemarle, NC campus.
• Expected to perform ongoing clinical preceptor and site evaluations, and on-site student evaluations requiring travel from Albemarle to the clinical sites.
