Position: Biology Adjunct Instructor
Location: Athens Campus
Department: Life Science and Public Safety
Reports to: Divisional Academic Dean
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.

Responsibilities:
- Teach and coordinate the instruction of the lecture and co-requisite laboratory courses.
- Enforce health and safety requirements in classrooms and laboratories.
- Evaluate students on a regular basis and provide frequent feedback to students.
- Prepare and submit documentation of student progress.
- Adhere to course standards for each course assigned.
- Demonstrate effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with students, faculty, and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Biology or related biological science with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in Biology, OR first professional degree in health field, i.e. MD, DVM, etc.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
- Ability in using online learning applications.
- Experience using BlackBoard as the online learning management system.
