Position Overview: As an Adjuster/Estimator, you work with clients and contractors to get all the information needed to make accurate estimates. You'll create detailed reports that include what work needs to be done, the costs, and the timelines. You'll also look at insurance policies to make sure claims are correctly assessed. Using software like Xactimate, you'll make precise estimates. Good communication is key, as you'll answer questions, provide updates, and negotiate fair settlements with clients and insurance representatives. Keeping accurate records of all documents and staying updated on industry trends and rules is also important for doing the job well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and contractors to gather necessary information and documentation for accurate estimates.
- Prepare detailed reports, including scope of work, cost breakdowns, and timelines.
- Review and analyze insurance policies, coverage, and exclusions to ensure accurate assessment of claims.
- Utilize industry-standard estimating software, such as Xactimate, to generate precise estimates.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance representatives, and project stakeholders to address questions, provide updates, and negotiate fair settlements.
- Maintain accurate records of all correspondence, documentation, and project-related information.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance professional knowledge and performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Adjuster or Fire/Water Restoration Estimator.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Xactimate.
- Proven experience in the Water/Fire Restoration industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
- Proficient in using estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $75k to $95k annually
- Competitive commission plan:
- 3% of total mitigation and content sales from documented relationships initiated and maintained by the employee.
- 1% of total reconstruction/repair sales from documented relationships initiated and maintained by the employee.

- Paid Time Off Eligible after 90 days.
- 5 days vacation and 3 sick days in the first 2 years.
- After 2 years, increase to 10 vacation days.
