About the Job
Administrative Assistant with a Focus on Estimating Setup Job Responsibilities:
- Review plans and specs to locate precast concrete products to quote
- Review and maintain bid calendar to ensure we have data to quote various construction projects
- Work with two estimating departments to process estimates in a timely manner
- Work with inside & outside sales team to monitor when estimates have been completed and proposals can be typed
- Review RFQ's from customers for jobs bidding and/or that they own and setup request for estimates from in-house
- Gather & review digital construction blueprints to find particular products for bid process – paying close attention to bid dates
- Ability to meet deadlines relative to bid dates and times.
- Review addendums for any changes that may affect our bid
- Request a quote from vendors occasionally for miscellaneous items such as hatches and ladders along with some other various items.
- Type proposals when necessary
- Order Entry when necessary
- Shop Drawings submittals when necessary
- Ability to take detailed notes and follow instructions as outlined by Management
- Positive attitude
- Ability to review detailed information and document findings
- Time management skills
- Ability to work as a team
- Quick / accurate typing skills in order to enter data into CRM program (Salesforce)
- Familiarity with entry into a CRM program, specifically Salesforce (Would like Salesforce experience.)
- Ability to answer the phones professionally
- Fast Pace environment: Ability to multi-task several projects and job functions at once
- Knowledge of the construction industry and it's bidding process a definite plus
