Are you a Trust Administration Paralegal (or strong administrative professional) looking for a new direct hire opportunity? Check out this role with a highly respected firm providing high quality estate planning services throughout the Connecticut region. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting legal research on various topics within the scope of law office practices
- Assisting attorneys in preparing legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and real estate closing statements
- Maintaining & organizing physical and electronic files using document management systems
- Communicating with clients, witnesses, and court personnel with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Assisting in trial preparation and attending court proceedings when necessary
Requirements:
- At least 2 years administrative experience, preferably in the legal field
- Proficiency in a range of legal areas such as estate planning, family & immigration law, and workers compensation
- Paralegal experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with document management systems and legal research tools desirable
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to support & communicate with several attorneys and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
- Strong MS Office skills; adept in calendaring
