JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides administrative and clerical duties to the medical department and health and safety team.
* Collaborate with other providers or departments to facilitate employee or business unit needs while maintaining confidentiality of protected health information
* Perform components of Medical Surveillance exams for Sweeny Refinery employees including enrollment/removal from programs, scheduling, pulmonary function test, respiratory fit test, and audiograms and collection of urine specimens.
* Work under the direction of LVN, Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician.
* Perform company and governmental mandated drug and alcohol testing.
* Changing dressings, applying sterile bandaging, remove sutures and perform other first aid procedures as needed.
* Management of medical documentation utilizing imaging procedures and online processes to ensure compliance with OSHA and other occupational requirements.
* Greet patients, answer phone calls and schedule appointments.
* Support with absence reporting and employee returns.
* Support during clinic emergencies and work-related injuries.
* Provide patients with all necessary registration forms and give instructions on completion of forms.
* Ensure accurate and timely documentation into the EMR.
* Administrative support to medical team and safety.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Certification as a Medical Assistant.
* At least 1 year of relevant experience.
* Drug testing certification a plus
* Proficiency in venipuncture/phlebotomy, injections and other vaccines as instructed by the site physician.
