Administrative Assistant II (County Highway) - WILLIAMS COUNTY

The Administrative Assistant II performs various administrative and technical functions to support the Williams County Highway Department.
 
The schedule for this full-time position is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Weekend on-call support is required.

• Provides customer service in person, over the phone, and through email 

• Reviews, processes, and issues a variety of road permits and requests according to established guidelines and processes

• Manages the inventory and ordering of road signs

• Performs accounts receivable processing

• Communicates road closures, inclement weather, and other restrictions to the appropriate agencies

• Inputs and updates information in databases and spreadsheets

• Performs general office tasks such as data entry, preparing correspondence, filing, processing mail, and operating office equipment

• Maintains confidentiality of non-public records and makes available all data and information deemed a public record by the North Dakota Century Code. 

Typical Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED AND two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience

• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

Special Working Conditions:
Must be able to provide on-call support outside of regular work hours 

 

Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $22.75 to $25.03 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
