Job Description:
The School of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Reno seeks an Administrative Assistant 3. **This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting daily data collection through telephone interviews, including assisting with callbacks. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant 3 will oversee the Survey Lab, including supervision, interviewing, and training.
Key responsibilities include conducting daily assessments of all survey projects within the Center, managing interview and supervisor call logs and schedules, and addressing customer complaints. The Administrative Assistant 3 will also handle HR and payroll processes, including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new interviewers, and processing hourly pay. The Administrative Assistant 3 will also assist with the setup and testing of new web, phone, and mail surveys, along with other duties as assigned. MUST SPEAK Spanish and English.

- This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR
- One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
- MUST be bilingual in Spanish and English.
A valid Class “C” driver’s license or higher operator’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
This position requires being bilingual in English/Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with experience with CATI systems, Qualtrics survey software and telephone research are encouraged to apply.
Schedule:
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday and will vary, likely to include afternoons into evening and some weekends; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
