What's your day like?
As a Full-Time Administrative Assistant to the School Superintendent at MooseHeart Child City & School, your daily responsibilities will include managing communications, including emails and phone calls, to ensure smooth operations within the office. You'll be tasked with organizing schedules, coordinating meetings, and maintaining important documents, all while providing exceptional support to the Superintendent and other staff. You'll also assist in preparing reports and presentations, helping to streamline educational initiatives. This position operates on a consistent schedule from Monday through Friday, starting at 7:45 AM and ending at 4:15 PM, providing a structured work environment that allows for a healthy work-life balance.

To excel as a Full-Time Administrative Assistant to the School Superintendent at MooseHeart Child City & School, a minimum of a High School diploma or GED coupled with 2-3 years of secretarial experience is essential. Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Schedule+, is required, with the ability to type at a speed of 55-60 words per minute. Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills will aid in the creation of clear and concise office correspondence and reports. Interpersonal skills are crucial for effective communication with staff, youth, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment. Strong organizational and time management abilities will help you prioritize tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with the operation of standard office machines, such as telephones, copiers, PCs, and fax machines, is necessary. Additionally, the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality is a must for maintaining our commitment to trust and integrity within the school community.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
