Admissions Coordinator (Central On-Site) - Marquis Health Consulting Services

The primary function of the Centralized Admissions Office is to evaluate, refer and admit patients or residents for appropriate placement based on the individuals needs and current bed availability.

The Centralized Admission team receives referrals by phone, care referral partners, EMR, or by fax. Our staff will gather information about the needs of the perspective patient or resident and seamlessly refer inquiries to the appropriate admissions staff for discovery and admission.

Our Centers:

This position will be part of the central admissions team that supports ntake and admissions process for 7 centers in Rhode Island Region and 10 centers located in Massachusetts. These centers are all Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF),

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Your primary goal is to input data coming in from Hospital Systems EMRS, Faxes, or telephonic.
• You will then ensure all appropriate date is input in our Referral Tracking System, insurance verification, alert to CL and Admissions personnel of new referral
• You will be working with Center Level Admissions Coordinators while working closely with our external marketing and nurse liaisons.
• Obtain Managed Care Authorizations
• Evaluate and assess potential patients for clinical appropriateness and placements into one of our family of centers as needed when volume high.

Qualifications

What we need from you:

• 1 Year applicable expereince in healthcare related intake/admissions.
• Associates degree or higher is preferred
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and Point Click Care (PCC)
• Working knowledge of federal & state regulations and reimbursement (Managed Care, Medicare, and HMOs)
• Ability to work in corporate office located in Providence RI.
