Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and organized Admissions Department Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the admissions process, including communicating with prospective residents and their families, processing paperwork, and coordinating with other departments.
Responsibilities:
Manage the admissions process from initial inquiry to resident admission.
Communicate effectively with prospective residents, their families, and referral sources.
Process admissions paperwork and maintain accurate records, including uploading documents to our electronic medical record and obtaining signtures on admission agreements.
Conduct facility tours for prospective residents on resident units.
Experience with basic medical terminology is required.
Experience in a healthcare setting or similar role preferred.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with EPACES and Allscripts is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, multilingual (Spanish or Mandarin) a plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
