About the Job
LifeSPRING of River Edge is a nationally recognized and evidence-based residential and outpatient treatment program for women seeking recovery from substance use disorder. LifeSPRING welcomes mothers, pregnant women, and women primarily of childbearing age.
LifeSPRING aids women in achieving self-sufficiency in a supportive, substance-free setting especially designed to address the unique needs of women. We offer outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential services to include individual, family, and group sessions as well as community support, vocational services, and parenting skills development.

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm
Job Description
- Under close supervision, provides psychosocial support needed to cope with substance disorders and mental illnesses.
- With a focus on group dynamics and building a therapeutic environment, provides education, crisis management, skills-based training, and counseling services.
- Designs counseling/education services that meet the individual needs of individuals served.
- Participates in substance abuse training and acts as a direct consultant to staff members providing clear and meaningful feedback.
- Educates families/significant others on the addiction and recovery process and facilitates family support sessions as needed.
Education Requirement
- Master's degree in behavioral health field and a Georgia license as LCSW, LPC, LMFT are preferred. LMSW, LAPC, LAMFT and recent graduates with a Master's in a behavioral health field are also accepted.
