Job Purpose: The Adult Learning Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering training strategies and methods that are consistent with best practices for adult learners.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Instructional Designers to develop course materials and delivery methods that align with best practice adult learning principles.
- Support Instructors by providing feedback and assisting with adapting strategies to tailor to various learning styles and requirements.
- Assist in the ongoing evaluation and improvement of training programs, ensuring that learning objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
- Provide insight to support the development of online and distance learning platforms and ensure seamless integration with Learning Management System (LMS).
- Ensure that practical applications, simulations, and scenarios used in training programs align with best practices in adult education and maximize student engagement and understanding.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited college or university with four years of experience or master's with two years of related experience.
- Experience with all phases of the ADDIE process.
- Experience with Moodle and LMS Operations.
- Experience with the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs.
- Experience with the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training.
- Current US Government SECRET security clearance, ability to obtain a TOP SECRET..
- Willingness to work on-site in the Fayetteville, NC area.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in a military training or defense contracting environment
- Familiarity with Tactical Data Links, Joint Interface Control Officer operations, or similar military systems.
- This is a customer-facing position representing FRDA to client employees.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with demonstrated ability to spot new opportunities and spearhead new initiatives.
- A friendly and collaborative attitude; ability to work well independently and in groups with minimal supervision; ability to navigate ambiguity, embrace client oversight at all levels, and balance competing demands.
