Job Description
Summary:
Provides individual therapy and counseling services to adult clients, focusing on assessing mental
health needs, developing treatment plans, and facilitating positive change through a collaborative approach.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to understand clients' emotional and mental health needs.
• Diagnose mental health disorders and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and
goals.
• Provide ongoing therapy sessions to adult clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Foster a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship to facilitate client growth.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Other relevant clinical tasks including but not limited to case management services to include
conducting initial assessments with and maintaining case management responsibilities for clients,
patients, relatives and other appropriate persons as needed.
Documentation and Compliance:
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards, including confidentiality and informed consent.
Collaboration and Crisis Intervention:
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community agencies when necessary to optimize
client care.
• Refer clients to specialized services or additional support as needed.
• Respond to client crises in a calm and professional manner, utilizing appropriate intervention strategies.
Professional Development:
• Continuously update knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities, staying
current with evidence-based practices in the field.
• Participate in clinical supervision and team meetings to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field. Licensed or eligible for
licensure as a mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LPC, PLPC, LMSW) in the relevant jurisdiction.
Preferred experience working with adult clients in a clinical setting. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients. Strong diagnostic and assessment skills to
identify mental health needs. Ability to implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adapt
treatment plans based on client progress. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical
practice
CERTIFICATION OR LICENSE REQUIRED:
Licensed or Provisional Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LMSW), Licensed or Provisionally Professional Counselor (LPC, PLPC) is required.
