SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Office of the Secretary of Defense Manufacturing Technology (OSD ManTech) Program office within the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) is seeking a Advance Manufacturing Workforce Development Analyst. OSD ManTech seeks to further the national security of the United States by furthering advanced manufacturing technologies and processes through joint, interagency, and public-private collaborations.
This role with the M-EWD Program will provide project management and execution support to the OSD ManTech M-EWD Program Director in the following ways:
- Help oversee a diverse portfolio of ongoing and emerging M-EWD projects to improve manufacturing workforce availability to the Defense Industrial Base and Organic Industrial Base.
- Support development of a balanced approach to workforce development activities across K-12 STEM, CTE (career and technical education), DEIA (diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility), and industry training resources.
- Participate in state and regional manufacturing workforce development initiatives to expand defense manufacturing influence in a regional context.
- Support M-EWD interactions with senior interagency policy partners and offer insights to influence policy dynamics in support of DoD M-EWD objectives.
- Coordinate with the ManTech M-EWD team to ensure prompt delivery of impactful work across industry, academia, interagency, and nine Department of Defense Manufacturing Innovation Institutes.
- Contribute to M-EWD program management planning, budgeting, and financial execution.
- Assist with documenting and reporting M-EWD Program achievements to DoD-senior leadership, interagency partners, the White House, and Congress.
- As needed, provide administrative and logistics support to the M-EWD team, including developing/managing team collaboration tools/processes; coordinating/scheduling/supporting team meetings with stakeholders; maintaining distribution lists; and supporting team responses to Congressional/internal leadership taskers.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in supporting the planning and management of projects, ideally within a Government context.
- Ability to maintain close attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience solving complex problems across the Government, industry, and/or academia.
- Effective administration, logistics, and correspondence management experience – both written and verbal.
· Excellent communications skills, both oral and written, including the demonstrated ability to effectively communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting policy and process improvement activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Associate in Project Management or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute
- Experience in education or workforce development.
- Experience in budgeting, contracting, and financial management.
EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
- 5+ years of work experience in a related field.
- Minimum SECRET clearance.
