About the Job
The Tobin Children's School (71 Cottage Street) and The Tobin School (73 Cottage Street) are seeking Afternoon Assistant Teachers to support our early childhood classrooms afterschool hours from 2:30/3:00-5:45/6:00.
Located near downtown Natick, Tobin offers a warm, friendly, fun place to work and to build skills and work experience while helping our professional educators in classrooms serving infants up to PreK. This positions joins a dedicated teaching team for each age group, and works to support our students in the daily activities and assist with supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Looking to fill shifts ranging from 2 to 5 days per week, from 2:30/3:00-5:45/6:00 pm on weekdays
- Work with experienced co-teachers in various classrooms ranging from Infants through PreK
- More hours available on school vacation and early release days
- Afterschool Assistants who work school-year hours, get first preferences for summer work
Qualifications:
- Previous childcare experience preferred, but not necessary
- Applicants 16 years of age and older may apply
- Ideal for older high school or college students
Benefits and Compensation:
- $16.50/hour
- 12 paid holidays per year

About The Tobin Schools Natick:
The Tobin School in Natick operates three programs on its large Natick Campus. The Tobin Children's School offers full-year, full-day early childhood options for infants up to PreK. The Tobin School offers school-year, school-day early childhood early childhood programs for preschool up to to JrK. Tobin Afterschool offers afterschool and vacation week care for grades K to 4, as well as summer options for children 4.5 to those entering Grade 5. All of our programs are nationally accredited for their high quality care and offerings.
We offer a wide variety of activities and learning opportunities for our students in our large, spacious indoor spaces. We also share a variety of beautiful outdoor learning spaces, including: Infant, Toddler, Preschool/PreK, and School-Aged Playgrounds, garden areas, large turf field, basketball court and large paved space, gaga pit, nature spaces, mud kitchen and loose parts area, and more.
