Position Summary
The AOG Expeditor is responsible for prompt acquisition of materials required to resolve Aircraft on Ground situations. This is accomplished via expediting open Repair Orders or Purchase orders or initiating purchases as required and ensuring their prompt delivery to the out of service aircraft. The position supports the Operational Control Center personnel.
Job Responsibilities
- Expediting open repair and/or purchase orders.
- Coordination of the shipment and receipt of materials via the timeliest and most cost-effective manner.
- Creating purchase orders in support of aircraft, for all maintenance bases, when the need arises.
- Managing requisition or purchase orders submitted by all maintenance bases, for all AOG A/C, and for any requirements that fall within the critical timeline, for all A/C.
- Sourcing parts needed for AOG A/C with repair vendors, other airlines, and the surplus market Including the vetting of quotes and certification received from vendors.
- Assisting other airlines with their AOG A/C, when possible.
- Managing the loaning and borrowing of parts from cradle to grave.
- Monitoring of freight costs and vendor performance relative to AOG needs and assist in formulating.
- the AOG vendor freight and charter lists and vendor score cards.
- Communication of updates to stakeholders.
- Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.
- Must be able to obtain airport SIDA badging.
- Ability to speak/read/write in English.
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.
Preferred
- At least 2 years of facility maintenance experience
Delegation:In absence, responsibilities delegated to Supervisor of AOG.
