Job Summary:
To assemble and perform mechanical adjustments and repairs on precision composite aircraft seats.
Job Responsibilities:
* Performs a variety of diversified bench assembly operations and mechanical adjustments and
repairs on precision aircraft seats requiring close tolerance fitting.
* Installs seat control mechanisms, arm and head rests, seat belts, life vests, drawers, etc.
* Installs precisions swivel, recline and slide apparatus. Makes adjustments as necessary
for proper operation.
* Disassembles, reassembles, and assures proper operation after complete paint and upholstery
operations.
* Troubleshoots and performs mechanical adjustments and repairs on aircraft seats once they
have been installed in the aircraft.
* Requires using power tools such as sanders, rivet guns, air drills, air screwdrivers and hand tools
such as wrenches, files, hammers, mallets, and awls.
* Responsible for the quality of own work.
* Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education:
Requires the ability to interpret blueprints, apply shop math, and use some measuring devices. Must have
a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
Experience:
Over one year and up to three years bench assembly and/or mechanical experience.
Kansas Tax Credit:
