Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing preventative maintenance on our products. Conducts service calls, site surveys, performing installation startup, system commissioning, and customer training by performing the following duties.
Locations Hiring: Sacramento, San Francisco/Oakland, San Jose, CA
Pay: $25 + hour DOE
What you’ll do:
1. Performs preventative maintenance on electronic and physical security products.
2. Installs and pulls wire as per specifications.
3. Installs and wires electronic equipment used in systems.
4. Accounts for all installation tools/equipment and all job parts/inventory.
5. Tests all installed/serviced equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with customers’ requirements.
6. Communicates important project status information to management as necessary (installation or service).
7. Communicates with customers on job status or completion (installation or service).
8. Conducts site surveys upon request of management.
9. Completes and turns in all required paperwork in a timely manner according to established procedures and deadlines, i.e., timesheets, expense reports, change orders, equipment transfers, etc.
10. Expected to travel for up to a week at a time when necessary.
11. Maintains and controls assigned truck stock inventory in an organized manner.
12. Maintains control, and safeguards, all company or customer property or information of which employee has been entrusted.
13. Follows Purchasing procedures using database system and supervisor approval to account for products needed.
14. Maintains and controls assigned truck stock inventory in an organized manner. Reports stock items during company inventory audits.
15. Keeps assigned vehicle clean inside and out.
16. Coordinates and ensures vehicle is maintained according to established standards.
17. Maintains clean driving record and operates company vehicles using safe driving practices.
18. Responsible for training less experienced employees and trainees on company procedures, systems, and installation/service techniques.
19. Ensures all work is preformed to company quality standards and practices.
20. Performs other related duties as assigned.
21. Works in compliance with Federal/State laws regarding safety of self and others always.
What you bring:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 1 + years of electronics experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of security equipment such as alarm systems, access control, video, CCTV systems, drive up systems, & under-counter teller equipment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Bosch, DMP, March DVR, 3VR, and/or Lenel Access control product lines preferred but not required.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to a week if necessary.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
