It is a team that gets to focus on solving the problems that nobody else knows how to and identifying the opportunities for improvement that nobody has explored before. The team has a lot of cross-industry experience, a wealth of knowledge to share, and support new additions to the team. This team also works extensively with cross functional partners such as innovation & science, quality assurance, maintenance, planning, and finance; putting you in a high exposure, well supported position to succeed.
How would an intern contribute to the team's success: Your ability to work collaboratively will be valued in this role as you work broadly with many Corporate teams. We are looking for an analytic problem-solver that is willing to identify root causes and drive to solutions. Bringing in new talent to share alternate approaches, new skill sets, and challenge the status quo helps everyone grow together and deliver better results.
An example of a typical project would be: Given the wide range of plants and products Amway manufactures, we will tailor the project to your unique set of experiences! Some project examples could include designing a new optimized work center, experimenting with an improved cleaning method, identifying ways to reduce scrap/improve quality, automating a previously manual process, time and material studies, or any other continuous improvement-oriented activities.
