Job Description Summary

This position will report to SVP, Financial Modeling and is accountable for development, maintenance and enhancement of quantitative/analytic models and applications in support of the firm's risk management effort. This role focuses on the development and enhancement of LOB (Line of Business) financial models including Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL), Capital Stress Testing, loan & deposit valuations, MSR, and other ad-hoc models as well as data analytics supporting various functions within the bank. This includes ensuring the completeness and accuracy of data utilized in the model development and implementation process.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with various internal groups including Allowance for Credit losses, Capital, Risk, Technology and Model Risk Management to provide model transparency and enhancing analytics capability
• Provide developmental evidence on statistical assumptions of risk in modeling methodology
• Work with team members on defining model enhancements/changes, performing testing and scenarios analysis, and conduct ongoing review and analysis
• Develop quantitative/econometrics models and applications in support of market risk assessment and regulatory capital requirements
• Present quantitative results clearly and concisely and display a capability to discuss statistical and quantitative concepts coherently
• Develop and document model monitoring plan, monitor statistical model performance
• Perform various ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior management

Knowledge/Skills/Background/Experience

• 1-3 yrs years of relevant job experience in model design, development, documentation, and model risk compliance aspects of quantitative/statistical models

• Solid programming experience with Python, R, and SQL

• Experience with linear, GLM, logistic regressions, predictive modeling, time series analysis, and forecasting

• Graduate Degree in Economics, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a relevant quantitative field with background in statistics is a prerequisite (e.g., applied mathematics, statistics, econometrics, operations research, or physics)
