Maximus is seeking an Analyst - Prog/Proj to join our team. This is a remote position that will support all programs within the Department of Education portfolio (USDS/DMCS/NGBPO). Must have a high functional knowledge of the cloud-based project management and collaboration tool, Smartsheets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge and documentation of operational and system processes.
- Perform cost/benefit analyses on potential changes to existing processes.
- Participate in the administration of project and program contract activities, including preparation for internal and external meetings.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to define problems and implement solutions.
- Create, review, and present program documents, business and software specifications, process flows, and test cases.
- Document complex program and system needs for both technical and non- technical audiences.
- Assist in the analysis of data and the specification of report packages for internal and external audiences.
- Works closely with other departments to optimize operational activities.
- Support leadership and product owner and stakeholders on project priorities.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of current SmartSheets and associated dashboards used across the programs and FSA portfolio
- Implementation of enhancement or change requests
- Participate in program and/or portfolio updates
- Provide guidance on best practices for requested changes or enhancements to either existing SmartSheets or new SmartSheet requests
- Provide reporting as requested by the portfolio or program from the SmartSheet tool
- Ensure that all functionality within existing SmartSheets is maintained, mesh existing SmartSheets with new SmartSheets as appropriate to meet portfolio or program requests
- Grant access, create accounts, etc., as needed
Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Highly functional knowledge of the SmartSheet tool, including the ability to create data meshes, data shuttles, create new sheets as requested
- Strong written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work across all levels of staff as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements as per contract/client:
- FSA, Department of Education experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must reside in the U.S.
- Must have a high level of experience with SmartSheets
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must not be delinquent or in default on any federal student loans.
- Employment and continued employment are contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a favorable clearance. Final suitability determination is the sole discretion of the Department of Education.
- Obtaining and Maintaining a PIV-I card is a requirement of this position. PIV-I cards must be picked up in person. New and existing employees may need to travel via car, train, or plane to a designated location to pick up their new or replacement PIV-I card. Any travel expenses will be paid for by Maximus.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
