JOB DUTIES: Responsible for providing on-farm reproduction and genetic consulting and development of innovative tools and programs for client farms. Specific duties include: (1) evaluating herd genetic performance and developing effective reproductive strategies and genetic solutions for client farms; (2) serving as GENEX reproductive and genetic expert to assigned client herds; (3) delivering reproduction and genetic value-added programs to strategic accounts to assist farm owners and managers in making profitable animal health and reproduction decisions; (4) training animal breeders in artificial insemination and related reproduction programs; (5) demonstrating proper animal handling protocols and techniques; and (6) performing detailed recordkeeping on reproduction and genetic programs.

REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or related; one year of livestock industry experience, including specific experience with on-farm artificial insemination. Extensive travel required to the Midwest region including South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
